Twippi works on Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Drag this button to your bookmarks bar to start using it:Twippi
It's no secret. Hover over the main photo on a profile page and you'll see the filename in your browser's status bar. Twippi brings all of these filenames on a given Twitter page to the forefront. Twippi also adds links to each photo's full-size version.
Using Twippi is super-easy. Just drag this button to your bookmarks bar: Twippi. Then click it while you're on any twitter.com page—your home timeline, another user's followers, a random search, etc.
Twippi is secure. It doesn't load any external files, and it doesn't collect, store, or transmit any of your information. You don't need to be logged in, or even have a Twitter account.
Why use Twippi at all? Many of the filenames you'll find will be boring permutations on IMG_0919
. But others might provide interesting context, like like location and date (e.g., JFD_columbus_11_2_09
) or who was cropped out (e.g., Me_and_Mom_2
).
* A large majority, if not all, of them.
